Competing against other branches

Each year our Waikato branch competes against the Te Awamutu Branch at the .22 Indoor Range with the highest scoring team taking the honours.

Our Waikato branch also competes against the Taupo Branch on the Outdoor Range for the Cock - O - Roost trophy with the highest scoring team taking the trophy for the year.

Centrefire 20 shot match - with 2 sighters in the prone position.
Scope power up to 6 1/2 max.

Typical Competition: 5 shots prone @100 metres
5 shots standing @ 100 m.
5 shots in either sit or kneel @ 200 m.
5 shots prone @ 200 m.

Silhouette shoot with .22 rifles 40 shot match
Scope power up to 9 max.

10 shots @ 40 m.
10 shots @ 60 m.
10 shots @ 77 m.
10 shots @ 100 m.

8th - 14th March 2008 at the Tokoroa Shooting Sports Complex, Newell Road, Tokoroa.
Shoot as little or as much as you like. Shoot for one day or shoot the full week.

Sat 8th R/M 3P@50 & 100m.
Sun 9th C/F 4P100 & 200m.
Mon 10th 60 shot Prone 200m
Tues 11th 80 shot R/F Metallic Silhouette
Wed 12th Short Class @100m & 200m
Thurs 13th R/F 50m Running Game
Fri 14th C/F 50m Running Boar

Briefing at 9.30am. Start at 10am for first event of the day.

There are Junior and Veteran Classes but a competitor who is eligible to enter either of these classes may elect not to do so.

Security: Firearm owners are reminded that they are responsible for their firearms at all times as laid down in the Firearms Regulations 1992.

Medals: Additional to the usual medals there will be Gold Medals for the winners of B,C and D Grades.

Champion of Champions: Shooters are reminded that to qualify for this award you must enter a minimum of five events of the total including Bench Rest.

Camping: Complex facilities may be available at a low fee per person per night.

OPEN TO ALL SHOOTERS Date: SATURDAY 16th FEBRUARY 2008 Time: 10am start. Entries to last prone detail.
Venue: TOKOROA Shooting Complex
Entry Fee:
$ 25 Senior. $12.50 Junior.
Grading: A,B,C,D Grades. Non graded shooters will be assessed by the Organisers.
Programme: 4 position graded Shoot at 100 metres. Prone: 3 minutes unlimited sighters.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded on aggregate scores in each Grade.
Refreshments: Morning and afternoon tea provided. BBQ.
Rules: NZDA Rules apply. All local rules adhered to. Any Centrefire rifle or Rimfire rifle.
No dogs allowed on the property.
