Fishing Trip and First Aid Course Availability

Members,

Two great opportunities to announce here, so make sure you read through to the end.

First up, we are organizing an end of year NZDA Waikato fishing trip for December 11th, open to all members (fishing is the one you do from a boat with a stick, not to be confused with a club hunt).

There are 12 spots available on the boat – Wild Goose out of Kawhia – and it will be first come first served. Price is $180 each including bait, bring an extra $20 cash on the day if you need to hire a rod.

BYO lunch and drinks, rod (unless hiring), and own tackle. If you don’t have your own tackle, need further info, or want to book a spot, please contact Alex Hudson on 02041562864.

Secondly, we have had some last minute cancellations for the Outdoor First Aid Training Course we are holding this weekend. Their loss is your gain, and those interested in filling the spots will pay a discounted $215 for the full two-day practical course (normally up to $375 per person). This is a formal course achieving NZQA Unit Standard 424 and is well worth doing especially if you spend a bit of time in the bush.

For more information or to book a spot, email Simon Hickton at hicktonsimon@gmail.com as soon as possible.
